We are seeking support to enable Southern Futures to take root at Carolina and amplify our significant contributions to understanding and reimagining the South by:

Cultivating a rising generation of leaders

We will support undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, decision-makers, and thought leaders through scholarships, courses, fellowships, and summits to foster life-changing education and deeper understanding.

Bringing storytelling, art, and music to the foreground

We will create a network of scholars and storytellers interested in the economic and social revitalization of North Carolina and the region.

Gathering and sharing Carolina’s expertise

We will be the place where the most talented people gather and work across disciplines and in partnership with other institutions.
